Poll: Which Final Fantasy is the best?

My vote goes to Final Fantasy VIII because it was the first one I played which means it was the FF game that got me to likeing all the FF games. Also I just love the characters ;D

haven't played them all (7,8,9,10,10-2,12,13 and the tactics games on ds) chose 10
because although they're all good games (excluding 12 hated everything except the various personalites, liked fran, basch and the judges) 10 was the best all in one package for me, the sphere grid was completely new, the sidequests were fun (weren't to keen on thunder dodging) and I liked the story and ALL the characters for once

I'd have to say FFVIII is my favorite as well. I couldn't really stand VII because the music I found very boring and the game just wasn't moving fast enough for me either. I think the music of FFVIII was what really got me. I was in middle school when the game came out and I really liked Squall. Even to this day a friend still tells me I act like him. Of course being that young I thought Squall was pretty cool. I was able to relate to him and all that jazz. I also liked how it had futuristic elements in the game but also kept the modern element too and I really liked the mix. I found the story fascinating and absolutely LOVE Laguna! At some points in the game I kept thinking I hope I play as Laguna again because he's so damn funny! Me and him also act similarly, particularly around women we have the hots for....and "friends" feeling the need to make fun of you when it happens. Ahh good memories

I like X the best, just because it seems to be the most rounded game. I loved everything about it, from characters to story line. VII was good too, but I do feel it is a tad over rated. IX Is probably the most under rated of all the games. Aside from the graphics, which I happen to love, I didn't see any problems with it. They are my top 3 anyway.

I must say that I am an VIII fan. I loved the Squall and Rinoa storyline I thought it was really cute.
