She grew up in a loving home, with both her parents taking good care of her, and had a good relationship with her mother. Her mother, Lucia, was also a mage which is what made her aspire to study the art of magic herself. This strengthened the relationship the two had, with Lucia teaching her daughter everything she knew. During the wedding between Semour and Yuna, Lucia was killed by Semour's hand for not wishing to harm those that came to Yuna's rescue. This left Shieko with a big hole which she has not yet been able to fill.
