I don't know when this place will pick up again, if ever, but I will start posting Muthrik's story here. Instead of making new threads each time I make a new entry to his progress, I'll just make a new post here.
Hopefully this place will pick up again before his story ends.

“What do you mean I can’t do SeeD missions?” I demanded from the Headmaster. “Ever since the incident that happened here, I’ve been reporting to my station right on time with no complaints. Don‘t tell me this has to do with the tournament…”
“Now, Muthrik,” the Headmaster replied calmly, holding up his hand, “there are things more important right now than SeeD missions.” He got up from behind his desk and gazed out of the window behind it.
I don’t understand. It’s been two months since members of Galbadia Garden were murdered here at Trabia Garden and I was assigned to guard the Headmaster’s quarters along with Marc, much to my annoyance. There hasn’t been anything going on except some students feel a little more inclined to get in fights now that they can carry around their weapons. Of course, whichever SeeD on duty in the area that the fighting is going on must stop it, but nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve seen many SeeDs come here to take on missions, but why can’t I? I’ve proven myself a few times and I even threw the match at the Holy Mission tournament because of how easy it would’ve been. I had to pull my punches and slow everything down in general, even though my opponent kept opening herself up many times. I didn’t care about winning or losing. I used the tournament to test my skills, even when Ultima decided to take control after a while to test my limits, and I know I’m ready.
After a long silence, the Headmaster sighed. “Muthrik, there are things out there you won’t understand. I fear you may lose your way out there. Or if you are angered, you might endanger yourself and those around you. People are not all what they seem to be. They have their own agendas and some will manipulate and use others to reach their goals. A good example would be the situation between Seifer from Balamb and Edea Kramer, wife of Balamb Garden’s headmaster, Cid Kramer.” He turned and faced me. “I’m afraid of something similar happening to you.”
My eyes widened for just a moment in shock, but I quickly regained my composure. The Headmaster didn’t seem to notice.
“I understand your position, but I’m not a child that needs protection. Don’t mistake Marc hanging around me as an idea of him being my guardian because that’s not the case in the least. I’m starting to enjoy his company and he just happens to find me no matter where I am somehow and won’t leave me alone. I know what my capabilities are and I know how to use them if need be. Now, please, let me go on a SeeD mission.”
“I’m sorry, but right now isn’t a good time,” the Headmaster replied sternly. “Do not be mad with me. I feel you need to stay here for a little while longer before I’ll let you take any missions. I can’t tell you my reasons right now, but in time you will understand.”
The Headmaster looked up and saluted. I returned it and walked to the door and exited his office, knowing I was being dismissed. I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t let me do any mission, even the small ones that is to basically eliminate any creatures that found their way into towns or small villages. I think there’s something he’s not telling me. He might know more about me than I do.
When I returned to my post outside the Headmaster’s door, I noticed Marc talking to another student in front of the door.
“I’m sorry, but no one outside of SeeDs stationed here and staff are allowed into the Headmaster’s office without written permission,” Marc said calmly. “I’m sorry but I’m going to have to ask you to leave and come back when you have written permission and is clarified by myself or Muthrik.” Sticking to the rules, eh? I find that interesting because this is probably the first time I’ve actually seen him follow any kind of rules. Maybe he understands the importance of being patrolled here or something.
“But he asked me to come to his office personally!” the student replied impatiently. The student was about Marc’s height. I’ve never seen him before.
I stepped forward, crossing my arms across my chest as I stood in front of the student. “Marc is right. The Headmaster said himself to us when we took up our post that no one is allowed in without written consent from himself or one of the staff. Not only that but one SeeD stationed outside his doors must clarify with the staff who gave it along with the Headmaster. Now if you must persist entrance without written permission, we will take you as a threat to both the Headmaster and Trabia and will act accordingly.”
The student shifted his gaze to Marc as he unbuckled his axe from it’s hilt, making it easier to grab in case a fight must take place and I did the same with my weapon. The student glared at the both of us for a moment before walking away, mumbling loudly as he left the corridor. As a female student with red hair walked out a classroom, the other student wasn’t paying attention and walked right into her, causing them both to fall to the floor hard.
“What the hell are you doing!?” yelled the unfamiliar student. The female was Sky, who was clutching her left wrist as they both got to their feet.
“You tell me, asshole!” Sky yelled. “Pay more attention next time, will you? I think you broke my wrist!”
What happened next wasn’t expected. As Sky turned her back to him to pick up the things she dropped with her good hand, the other student reached behind his back and pulled out a knife from his back pocket.
“Look out!” Marc yelled, but that was all he could do from our end of the corridor. Reacting quickly, I pulled Destiny out of its hilt, took aim, and fired. The man holding the knife cried out as the blade flew through the air and landed a few feet from where he stood. He fell to his knees and yelled in pain, holding up his bloody hand with a fresh hole in the middle. Marc ran to him and threw him onto the floor and held him there with his strength and ax as I ran to Sky. She was still clutching her wrist with a look of shock on her face as I reached out my hand. She took a moment to realize what was happening before grasping it. As I helped her to her feet, I saw Marc bind the stranger in the corner of my eye and grabbing the knife off the floor.
“Are you alright?” I asked Sky calmly. She looked into my eyes for a few seconds then suddenly, she wrapped her arms around me and buried her head in my chest and started to cry. I guess she was still in shock from what has happened because she was trembling from head to foot. After a few moments, her sobs lessened and her grip around me loosened. I grabbed her shoulders gently and took a step back.
“I’m sorry,” Sky said softly. “I didn’t mean to grab you like that. It all happened so fast…” I shook my head. “Don’t worry about it. How’s your wrist?”
She chuckled. “Hurts like hell.”
“Mind if I take a look?” I asked while extending my hand, “I might be able to help if not heal it,”
“As long as you don’t plan on cutting it off,” Sky said playfully.
“As long as you don’t give me a reason to, I won’t,” I responded with a smile. Beaming, she nodded and gently placed her broken left wrist into my hand. I placed my other hand on top of hers and noticed her skin was soft to the touch. Closing my eyes, I concentrated, tapping into a flow of energy inside to summon my magic. Once I felt its warmth, I let it flow through my body and focused the energy into the palms of my hands. I opened my eyes to see them both glowing a faint bluish color, engulfing her wrist in its light. Softly, I muttered, “Curaga.” The light grew brighter and warmer before what seemed like it was being sucked slowly into Sky’s injured arm. I can feel in my hands her bones mending and healing.
Once the final glimpse of the light vanished from sight, I removed the hand covering hers. Her hand seemed perfectly fine. Not a trace that it was broken or even harmed in the least.
“Well?” I asked slowly. “How does it feel?” Sky slowly lifted her left wrist and started moving it around, slowly at first. After a few moments, she turned to me with a smile. “Wow! It’s completely healed!” she replied happily. “If you wanted to, you’d be an excellent Healer. I know someone. If you’d like…”
“What’s going on here?” interrupted the Headmaster’s voice, first looking in the direction of Sky and me before his gaze met Marc and the bound stranger. All three of us along with other students that were around stood straight up and in perfect harmony, saluted the Headmaster.
“Sir,” Marc said while dragging the man as he walked closer to the Headmaster, “this unfamiliar student was requesting access to your quarters without written consent.” He stopped in front of the Headmaster. “After Muthrik came out and told him the same thing I pretty much said, he stormed off and ran into her as she was leaving a classroom,” he continued while pointing in our direction. “She broke her wrist, but Muthrik healed it completely, and as she was picking up the things she dropped, this stranger pulled out a knife from his back pocket. Muthrik and I weren’t close enough to stop him. If it wasn’t for Muthrik firing his weapon, we may have a murdered student on our hands.” Marc’s adrenaline was still pumping as he was talking, clenching and unclenching his fists as he spoke, trying to calm himself down.
“I see,” said the Headmaster as he looked down at the unfamiliar student. “Bring him into my office. I’d like a word with him. Muthrik and Marc, you are dismissed from duty at this time so let the next SeeDs know that they will have to start earlier than expected. You may do as you wish until I’m done with him so listen up when I summon you three to my office,” he finished making a quick glance in Sky’s direction, letting her know that she is the third student he was talking about.
“Sir,” the three of us said and saluted. The Headmaster saluted as well and said, “Dismissed!” before grabbing the student and dragged him into his office.
“Well, that was interesting,” Marc said while buckling his ax back into place. “I wonder what he wants to say to us later. Maybe he wants us to dispose of this so called student.” Sky looked shocked at his remark but he put up his hands laughing. “I was only kidding. You should’ve seen your face!”
After he calmed down, he said he was going to head back to the dormitories and take a little nap. He bid Sky and I farewell then left. Sky looked down at her books, then her newly mended wrist, and sighed.
“Well,” she said, “I guess it would be pointless to head to the next lesson, but I better let the instructor know why I won’t be attending. Would you like to come? I skipped lunch to catch up on my studies and was planning on grabbing a bite to eat.”
Nodding, I replied, “Sounds like a plan to me. Not really in the mood to train and I do admit that I’m hungry as well.” Sky smiled and we headed down the hall. For some reason, I feel more relaxed around her than I can remember.
