Frequently asked questions
What is a roleplay?
A roleplay is a piece of fan fiction where you create a character and write out their life at the time of the event. It can contain anything you want as long as it is relevant to the time you are writing it.
When are each world’s set?
To avoid major confusion I have decided to set it one year after the climax of each game, with the world structure remaining as it was. Spira is as it was at the end of X” with one exception: Summoners can still summon.
Is there a limit to how long one roleplay is?
No, however length doesn’t always mean quality.
Is there a limit to how short a roleplay can be?
No, but it should be long enough to create enough substance to make us enjoy reading it.
Can I use an existing final fantasy characters in my roleplay?
For example, at the end of VIII Squall is in charge of Garden. You can mention him running it, or the way he runs it in passing, but it is best not to have him as a main feature in your roleplays, in case you misuse him or ruin continuity.
Can I use other people’s characters in my roleplay?
Not unless you ask them beforehand that it is ok. However, unless you are working together I would not recommend using someone else even with their permission as you might accidentally have them do or say something that’s out of character for them.
What is an NPC?
A non playing character. These tend to be shopkeepers and the like, just to add a bit of depth to the game. You may use NPCs in your roleplays.
